Spending money is fun! Especially when you get treated to something you wanted but could not justify buying. :-) For the first time in my life I've said yes, do it, spend on me because I am worth it! Where did the timid, apologetic woman go? Is this what losing weight does to you? If it is, then I like the feeling of being in control!
Today we went to IKEA and I managed to resist the temptation of hot dogs, etc. I treated the others to what they wanted and left them to enjoy whilst I got on with collecting my shopping. My reward for my restraint was a lovely brandy and cream coffee when we finally got home. I've noticed that I get ravenous a day or two into my period and then settle down. I also do much better with company than without. Writing these observations down is helping me identify possible pitfalls and ask myself 'do I need to eat because I am hungry or because I am bored, lonely or upset about something?'
Oh I nearly forgot to say that today I wore a lovely long blouse from Yours and a pair of new shoes from Evans. I saw myself in the lift mirror and it was the first time I was pleased with my looks. I so wish that my friends will feel the same way and hopefully I can set a good example for them. Never give up!
