Sandy701's Journal, 27 January 2012

3.3 miles walked today in the sunshine with temps a lot cooler...about 58-60 degrees....a far cry from the 75 degrees of the last couple of days. Doggies quite happy to go along for the entire trip on the lake route, so it was a change of pace for all of us.

WOE still is a bit wild and needs to come under more restriction. I'm still working on finding the key to unlock a better focus.

I'll be heading out to Sam's, among other places, today. I'd love to just go out and shop without being on a tight schedule, but that's not to be.

Tomorrow looks like D-Day to FINALLY get the Christmas stuff taken down. Any longer, and I'll have to hang red and pink hearts on everything!

Hang in there Sandy, it will all fall into place for you. As for the Christmas stuff, that's not such a bad thing to hang hearts on them. Then before you know it, it will be easter, then you can hang chicks and easter bunnies on them as well, then independance day with stars. Then comes Halloween, Thanksgiving and once again Christmas. See, not such a bad thing to just leave them right where they are.lol Have a wonderful day.:):)

Oh I meant to add "just leave them right where they are and then you don't have to put them up again".lol Have a good one.:):)

Buffy, didn't get to Sam's after all. Went shopping locally for some veggies to tide me over until Sunday's grocery trip. I might still get to Sam's tomorrow, as Kohl's has a great sale over in that area of another town, but then again, my slave-driver DH will probably be pushing to get these blasted decorations down instead - LOL!

Bren, doggies are quite happy in this weather. Since beginning this WOE, we've rarely been kept from walking due to the weather - hot OR cold. Have a good weekend.

Laurie, I'd consider keeping them in place, but I think my natural tree would look pretty darn sad by then! It's actually still looking good and the fragrance is more intense now than it was when we first got it!

Mine insists they be taken down by New Years Day. One year the fully decorated Christmas Tree ended up out on the back deck!

Hi Sandy...I have been missing everybody lately. I have seen the pink heart thing done before, never thought it was because Xmas stuff never came down, just assumed they did it on purpose! LOL...still learning I am. Anyway, glad to hear you had good company on your walk!

Buffy, I think that would be a declaration of war - LOL!

Laurie, I'm hoping we don't lose ALL the needles on the way out the door. Also hope the sanitation crew doesn't fall over laughing when they see that we've had the tree up all this time!

GG, when we lived in MT for a few years, that's where I saw the most decorations left up all year. Probably due to having cold weather so early and so late. And people DID change them up a bit for each holiday. Stilll....it was rather funny seeing icicle lights up in May, June, July, etc.
