I'm feeling optimistic.

After a recent health scare my motivation to eat clean and healthy has been renewed. I feel it is likely to stick because my partner who often does the cooking is on board. We have started doing yoga together daily and it gives me so much joy. I am not so much concerned with losing weight as I am with the health of my organs.

We have planned a family menu for the first time in ages. Having four kids meal time had regressed to more processed foods than I am willing to admit and a plethora of cheese and gravies. Our current plan is to continue with meatless Mondays which we have previously been moderately successful at and adding meatless Wednesday as well (these are days I do not work so I have time for scratch cooking) We've also decided to eat vegan on Saturdays.

For my personal health I have cut out caffeine and alcohol. I have also been adhering to a low sodium diet. We are reducing wheat and refined sugar but I am not prepared to remove them from my diet entirely.

I can't wait to see how my body can repair itself with the proper fuel and movement.
