NO ADDED SUGAR (also no syrups like honey, molasses, etc.). I am going to attempt to try a vegetarian version of the Atkins Diet with fats coming from nuts and proteins coming from eggs and plants. Not sure how successful I will be getting into Ketosis stage, but I am not worried. Key here is to keep it healthy and eat "close to the ground" (CTTG). CTTG is eating food the way it came off of the tree or plant. Another way of thinking about this is "eliminating man's input" or eating unprocessed food. I am not sure what percent body fat I have, but I don't like the layer of extra fat I have developed over the past 6 months. It is time to get back to my former lean self.
