Got my new scale yesterday! It's accurate. It's consistent. It's AWESOME. Highly reccomend it. No more digital scale 'memory'!
ALL YOU YOGIS OUT THERE!! -- I know a hot topic of debate has always been 'How many calories do you burn in a Bikram yoga class?' Well... tonight I will find out! I got this really baller gps watch for Christmas fully equipped with a heart rate monitor that conveniently counts calories burned based on your heart rate! (How awesome is that?? I know.. pretty awesome). I'm planning on wearing the monitor tonight to a hot yoga class. It's a public community class, so it's only an hour and 15 minutes instead of an hour and a half, but that's okay. I'm pretty excited :) I really love this yoga place... I wish I could go more often, it's just so darn expensive.
Also, if I stick to my planned diet that I have for today, I will be exactly at my 120 g of carbs for the day goal! I've been thinking about going low-carb for a while, but it's a scary thought for me. I love pasta, bagels, bread, sandwiches, etc etc... so instead of cutting out carbs all together, I think I'm going to try to cut out white/refined carbohydrates and stick to natural ones (fruit, soy, whole wheat, etc) and avoid any processed carbs. This way, I can still have a bowl of whole wheat pasta for dinner if I'm pressed for time, and not feel too guilty about it! Plus get lots of fiber :)
HAPPY RAINY DAY EVERYONE! Don't let the weather get you down. Get that workout in anyway!!
