RJBurke's Journal, 25 January 2010

Nope - just can't get myself on the scale today. Ended up going out last night with a friend and kind-of went on a late night binge.

A typical Could of, Would of, Should of scenario, but what the heck - it was still the weekend right..? The worst part is I woke up still full.

Back on the horse and did 20 min of cardio exercise, and will try to get in another 20-30 tonight. Cleaning out my spare room tonight, getting it ready to paint it, is going to be a workout I look forward to.

I bought this place as a fixer-upper after my divorce thinking to sell it as a stepping stone to a bigger place, I just never was motivated enough to really get things done.

Strange how much depression can get one to such a point. Toss in a very time demanding job, and presto - come home and eat, watch a bit of TV then sleep... not any more!

The key is move, move, move... at this point in my life, I believe I made the right choices, now I just have to press on and rebuild. I know I can.

You may have noticed, I have been putting a little link to one of favorite diet foods in my posts lately, the reason is I just found them again - when I first started dieting this time around, I found them online and ordered a box.

The box ran out, and for one reason or another I just never got around to ordering another case. Well I just reordered and will soon be making them a part of regular diet again.

I will be posting my recipes and photos with them too. They really do help.. a lot. I love pastas, soups, and just by adding this noodle, it is a heck of a filler, and good for you too (from everything I have read.) Take a look here if your interested and want to know more about Shirataki pasta.

Good Luck Everyone!

I just ordered some of the pasta. Thanks for the tip! This should help curb my noodle craving.

It is great in broth, just remember - don't starve yourself, you do need some calories. The best way I found was to use them as your last meal of the day... eat your calories during the day when you are most active (before 5pm if your a day person), then fill up on the noodles and veggies for dinner - you do need to "flavor" them up, you will get instructions on how to use and cook with them - they are fantastic.
