Today I am feeling extremely discouraged, weight loss wise. I've gained 2 pounds over the weekend and have no idea why. I can't believe it. I've really been watching my carb intake. The only "cheat" food I had was 1 donut and a total of 6 teaspoons of a non sugar free creamer in my coffee. I didn't even add regular sugar in my coffee! I don't understand what the hell is going on. I did have a small steak Saturday night and know that beef takes a little extra time to digest, but come ON!
The only other thing I can think of is that I'm not getting enough water. I wonder how much of a difference that makes with weight loss?
I'm not going to give up, though. I'm just feeling discouraged. My friend and I have been trying to lose weight together and she has dropped 12 pounds already. I've actually gained since starting all this. GAINED! Not lost but GAINED! We were both following South Beach Diet but a couple weeks ago I decided that maybe I need help pshycologically so got Dr. Phil's book on CD.
Tonight I go work out at the gym and plan to listen some more to Dr. Phil's CD "ultimate weight solution". I'm almost done with the 2nd CD.
Today is a new day so will not give up. Just feel discouraged. Like...what's the point in trying if no results.
I have a feeling that maybe my insulin resistance in affecting my weight loss efforts. I recently started taking my metformin again. I wonder if I need to see a nutritionist.

Guess I should record what I've consumed today.
Had a cup of coffee with flavored creamer and agave necter before having my usual protein shake for breakfast.
s=cup of coffee with sugar free creamer and 2 SBD cookies. 1 ff mozerella stick and about 8 pistacios.

For lunch I had a bowl of salad (bagged salad mix) with cut up chicken strips, 1/3 c ff cottage cheese on top, some tomatoe and about 2 TB Ranch. I also added about 6 multi-grain tortilla chips.

s=had a bite of a organic, tropical dark chocolate.
