I don't understand I followed my diet almost 100% I didn't have more than 1400 calories and somehow I GAINED 1/2 lb. It doesn't make sense to me. Hopefully it is just the scale flucuating and with my 45 min. - 3 mile exercise today tomorrow morning will look better!
214.5 lb Lost so far: 0.5 lb.    Still to go: 64.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 3.5 lb a week

Maybe water weight. I went through that...gained a 1/2 lb one week doing good on the diet but the next week I lost 3 lbs. Hopefully it will balance out next week.

After I do strenuous exercise that leaves me sore, I always weigh 1-2 lbs. As the soreness goes away, the weight loss begins to show on the scale. I understand that, when sore, muscles are swollen and holding on to water/fluid which causes this surprising (and annoying) effect. Maybe this is true for others so I figured I'd bring it up.

Don't let it upset you. It could be sodium from something you ate the night before or any number of things. Just keep watching what you eat and exercising. It will come off.

I noticed I had better luck when I ate full grains and fruit. It was somewhat cleansing. Nonetheless, it will get better. Just keep up the good work.
