Finished breakfast and starting a 24-hour fast to get back on track.

I find that fastings do not work; you just end up gaining the next time you eat; what if you considered smaller portions

Every day I IF 16-20 hours. I just want to do this to help get rid of the water retention and flush the sugars.

I wish you good luck. I fasted yesterday and felt no cravings. Drank lots of water and broth.

I do the same. I love fasting. I do a at least a 16:8 daily.

@tmarroy I have most of my calories, carbs & some fats right away in the morning (meat/eggs/veggies 800-1000 cal) and usually between noon & 2 I'll finish off with a little protein/veggies/fat. I drink about 100oz water daily and if I do get hungry I'll have a tbsp butter or coconut oil.

I think my water intake is not enough I know too much water is not good also!

Well, we ALL fast every night. :) Additional Fasting to cleanse is good, when needed. I also eat most of my calories in morning and before 2pm. So I have no trouble controlling my weight. Keep doing what works! :) looks like you got it!

yay! Good Job!! My wife fasted yesterday to do same thing.. She is reading the new book about fasting by Jason Fung and Jimmie Moore (famous for getting fat on LCHF), I'm a little worried for her getting too motivated to fast, but I support her. I'm fasting starting 6 PM ish tonight, till 6PM tomorrow..typical 24 hr IF.

@tmarroy You'll find that a lot, if not most people here drink water in that kind of range every day. You're supposed to drink 1/2-1oz daily for each pound you wrigh 😉

I drink 100 ounces of water a day. That's the minimum on a low carb diet.
