Dropped a further 3 lbs this week. (Not as fast as the previous two weeks but they were a bit mad). Beyond the weight, pleased to see my muscle and body fluid increasing, with body fat and visceral fat decreasing, so reckon I must be doing something right again.
As a reward to myself for losing this first stone again, I went to the hairdresser. It's been a tough year, in which I've been neglecting myself a lot, so I haven't had my hair done since March. :-0 While I was in there, I read an interview with a personal trainer talking about exercise and what she said was this:
"Don't do it because you hate your body; do it because you love it."
I love that! So much so that I'm stealing it for my signature, as a reminder to be as positive as possible about weight loss, about exercise and about life in general.

I like that quotation. It works for so many other things too, not just weight loss, with a bit of adjustment. Sorry to hear you've had a bad year that's meant you've neglected yourself a bit. I'm glad you've managed to turn it around, lost enough to feel you can celebrate and treated yourself to something indulgent but not short-lived and regrettable (a large sugary cake, for example). Really well done 👍🎉 So what have you had done to your hair?

Fab quote. Had a voucher for a wonderful 'beauty salon' for over a year so finally went in for a massage and a facial. Wow, looks like I'll be spending a bit of money in there in the future! Feels fantastic, spoil yourself more!

Glad you liked the quote, and what lovely supportive buddies you are! Thank you all. So Phooka, nothing thrilling with the hair; just got rid of the grey bits and some styling, though my hairdresser is a Marilyn-style peroxide blonde! And StrangeTrout, the pampering sounds great and just we all need really. Bring on a bit of self-love! :-)

This quote suits me too!
I love having my hair cut and restyled. I visit the hairdresser every 4 weeks. I look at it as therapy and I look forward to it.
Keep going and treat yourself to the good things in life that you don't need to worry about .. as Heidi said a cake is just a moment of enjoyment.
Losing a lb in weigh is a long term fix . Buying a new pair of jeans or dress in a smaller size is a Wow. Of course there are other examples .. I rest my case !
It's all out there...do it because you love YOU X👗👖👙

I think Phooka is responsible for saying a cake is short lived. It's a great comment anyway x
