I've been doing South Beach for a while but joined LA for my husband about 1 1/2 months ago. He has to lose a lot more than me and needs the structure and support of LA a lot more than I do. But I always look forward to trying new things, so I joined with him. I can use any tips you guys can give, because, honestly, I'm not a huge fan of this diet. I struggle getting in 8 glasses of PLAIN water everyday, even when I work out. They say you can't count Crystal Light as your water, but does anyone do this? Does it really matter that much? And does anybody have trouble only using 3 packs of sweetener a day? Does this really matter?

One thing is that you may be counting two glasses of water as one. Sounds stupid , I know, but I did it for several years. I thought one bottle of water was equivalent to one glass, wrong. Most average bottles of water, and most household glasses of water are 16 oz, which is ~two~ glasses of water. Actually, my doctor said that 8 , 16oz glasses of water everyday is way too much. That might help a little. Not to knock your diet plan, but it seems a little ridiculous to me that it can't "count" even if you're putting something with no sugar in the water.

BEING A COUNSELOR AT LA WEIGHT LOSS, WE DO SUGGEST ONLY 64 OZ WATER DAILY. IT HELPS FLUSH OUT THE FAT. THE REASON WHY WE SAY ONLY 3 PKS OF SWEETNER A DAY IF YOU OVER DO ON SWEETNER IT CAN CAUSE YOUR BODY TO RETAIN FLUID. YOU CAN HAVE CRYSTAL LITE BUT COUNT IT HAS A DIET SODA. TRY PUTTING REGULAR LEMON IN YOUR WATER TO FLAVOR IT SOME, OR LIME. IT DOESN'T COUNT TOWARD YOUR FRUITS.
