A person can end up having a whole lot of sugar alcohols, with the symptoms you've described, without realizing it when eating "sugar free" candies. Plus, some of the database entries have been adjusted in such a way that you don't realize exactly how many SA's you're really getting.....unless you go back and recheck the entry against the package. There are some varieties of candy (hope I remember this correctly) that have 10-15 SA's...per piece!! If you even have 1 piece, that's a whole lot of SA's put into one's system. Not all s/f candy is like this, but one really has to be label-aware. Hope you're feeling better today.
