end of summer and it has been crazy. a lot of food cheating, a lot of travel, a lot of activity.
one of my travels was supposed to be an overnight hike. because of game land rules we were not able to do a hike in and out from the same point it had to be a section hike on the AT. we were not prepared for this so changed plans on doing a slack pack hike.it was 3 miles in, 3 miles out and it kicked my ass but the bug bit. For now I am hooked on hiking. I did 3 miles yesterday at a local nature preserve, again it kicked my ass but I am going to do more. of course with the increased activity comes the weight loss. I was at a stall Witt the 1400 calorie nutritional limit. any lower without activity and I am miserable.
the goal is a long hike on the weekends with a few maintenance walks during the work week. let's see how that goes.
