Sharons Victory's Journal, 07 August 2016

well I went drinking Friday night and went to Chinese food buffet with my family yesterday, not the best weekend. I'm attempting to allow myself cheat days on the weekend and not beat myself up over it because I tend to be an all or nothing perfectionist and would normally deny myself anything bad, but then end up messing up and binging. I may have ate around 3500 each day but that's better than my binge days...who knows how much I'd eat on those! (imagine huge breakfast burrito for breakfast then for dinner half a tub of ice cream, Carl's Jr. full meal with fried zucchini and chocolate cake, then half a bag of chips and perhaps some alcoholic beverages too). 

one thing that's easing my mind is one of my over eating days was on Friday when I supposedly burned around 600 calories in my 45 minute spin class - I sweated a lot and put in a lot of effort so hoping that's accurate...that means I'd only be a few hundred calories over maintenance for my current weight on Friday and about 1500 over yesterday....so not the best but forgivable. I want to learn how to allow myself days where I'm not perfect and not allow myself to make that my identity and fall completely off the wagon. I over ate this weekend but didn't binge and for someone like me that's a big deal! next time I over eat though and have alcohol I want to have less than I did this weekend...learn to indulge on an exciting smaller scale...I know I didn't need two of those glasses of wine, ya know? anyways...back on track today and looking forward to my week off spin class and good diet - the week days are so much easier to be good on!
