The last few nights have been bad! especially all day Sunday & last night. LOTs of neck pain, kept waking up, and it didn't help that I'm worried about a class coming up. I took my Turmeric, Ginger juice, magnesium citrate & cherry juice concentrate with 2.4oz of Scotch whiskey, I keep all this by the bed in a small bottle for emergencies like this. It still took over 50 min to get back to sleep, but it eased the pain (Turmeric and ginger juice usually stops or drastically reduces the pain within 45 min), & the alcohol calmed the jitters. Woke up with only mild neck pain 3 hours later. This is the worst it's been in a LONG time. Usually it's rare that it happens, and it either gets better when I'm up or it gets much worse when up and around. but never lasted for several days like this.

Glad you are feeling better today. I feel sad when I hear of others experiencing neck pain, as I know from my own experience how draining it is. For me, it is not only the pain but the sense of not being in charge of my own body that is debilitating. I know that I have to take extra care to remind myself of what I can do to diminish or tolerate the pain, so I regain a sense of control with it. Otherwise I can feel out of balance and my whole world tips a bit. To be practical I have found that strength training has been helpful to me....it is much more difficult to view myself as a weakling in pain. If I can "do" things, with the pain, then I have some power. I cringe a bit, know how a "class" can trigger off more pain from the activity or non-activity it requires. Take care of you.

>SjF60, the class was the motorcycle training, in Petaluma, california. It's a very useful 16 hour 2 day class, that trains how to ride a motorcycle safely, and how to unlearn decades of riding, and learning bad unsafe habits. :)
there is a written test that was tough for me I got a 90 of 100. and a skill test at the end of all the 10 hours of riding training. I got 97 of 100 on the skill test. they are tough, but fair. and yes that means I passed. :)
