Funny, Berley, never saw it, but wish I had. When we were watching Northern or Bruce climb those rocks, I thought of my rock climbing in the Alabama Hills, which are in most filmed Westerns. One time I visited an estate, that had it's own water well, that was tucked up in those hills. It was the neatest place. Had large green lawns, and a huge water tank. Surrounded by large boulders of those hills. I thought it would be the perfect vacation house. 

I went through Lone Pine on my honeymoon. We eloped in Laughlin, then drove through Death Valley, Mammoth Lakes, Yosemite, Napa, and Calistoga on the way to San Francisco, stopping at lots of places along the way. After a few days in SF, we went down the coast--visiting the redwoods, Big Sur, San Simeon, Carmel and Monterey, and back to L.A. to fly home. California is a great state! 

Wow, you probably saw more of California, than I have, Kp. Funny, I lived in a trailer, that sat on a piece of property, that was near the school and fire house, where I was a volunteer fire fighter. If you went through Lone Pine on Hwy 395, you most likely saw the High School, I taught at. I taught at all 3 schools in Lone PIne. Two periods at each school each day. My first day of teaching, ever, I walk into the office, and the secretary has a radio on. It says, "Last night, Jake Henry got into a fist fight with Injun Joe, and they were both arrested at the "Last Chance Saloon"! The secretary says to me, "Wow, I didn't know Jake was like that?" Kp, that was when I knew I was in trouble in that town. lol 

You are too funny. Now that you have time on your hands, you need to see more of your great state and not just the desert highway to Vegas! 

One great thing about Lone Pine, was how close it was to one of the great ski slopes in the United States, Mammoth Mountain. I know, because as time went on I have skied almost all of them. That place is awesome. 

We will get you here, April. Come hell or high water! 

Time to get dressed and get going! Party time! 

It's just one of those confusing sayings again, April. It means "no matter what happens". lol 

We are ALL amazed as to how smart you are, April. English is a tough language, as I teach people English, who speak it. 

Whoa! She's even *poetic* in English! 

She is our "always amazing and entertaining" friend. 

I'm liking a show of 4 black men, called The Preachers on channel 11. I not sure if it is just local, now these guys talk just a little too fast, but being preachers they have a moral values influence to it. How to live your life, but not church like or talking down. Just current issues in all of our communities. I just saw they have another video of a black shot with his hands up. At least this guy is recovering. God, can't we just drop these guns, and live our lives.  

Wow, I am loving this show. It is just local too, but it has a audience, and the content is wonderful. They have a young, white kid on, talking about getting along in our communities. Wow, this young kid has everyone in tears. Youth, I have learned, can be the solution to ending bias, prejudice, and discrimination. Many young people are learning we are all alike. Things CAN change! 

I hope so Warren. That police officer shooting that guy in Florida was horrific! As you say, thank goodness he is recovering.
