greendreamsTX's Journal, 15 December 2009

I'm not thrilled with my eating habits over the past five days. I believe I may be indulging due to end of term stress. Plus, we've had lots of holiday/ end of term treats around.

I was feeling very run down during my workout on Saturday, so I decided to skip the gym on Sunday. I worked out on Monday and still felt a bit run down, so I skipped the gym on Tuesday, too. I will go to the gym on Wednesday.

I'm thrilled that I've held my weight steady for the past three weeks. Having put the brakes on, I'm now on target with the theoretical 15 pounds a woman ought to have gained by 21 weeks of pregnancy. As I started out overweight (175 pounds with a BMI of 27), my recommended total weight gain is between 15 and 25 pounds.

I set out with the goal of staying near the 15 pound gain, but I've already hit that, going from 175 pounds to 190 pounds.

I'm confident I can make it under 25, if I keep up the diligence I've displayed in the past several weeks. My confidence is boosted more having braked my weight gain during a time in which weight gain is normal (pre-holiday).

With my exercise, I might even be transforming some fat into muscle.

19 weeks left.
