Hey guys thanks for the comments... It really helps to hear from others..

So maybe I will try switching to stage two now then. I see what you were saying.

And yes I know i need to get more carbs from veggies.. lol Yuck but I am actually going to try the romaine lettuce deal. That I haven't tried so it might be good with just a touch of italian dressing.

So I think I will try to go up to 30 carbs now but I will do it by adding in the romaine lettuce.

Crossing fingers and hoping...

BTW did 50 minutes of walking today at a good pace.

If you are short on carbs, lettuce alone really isn't the best way to go. It only has .4 carbs per ounce..and lettuce is LIGHT. You would have to eat a HUGE salad to get significant carbs. If, on the other hand, you sauteed up some onions and peppers and put on the lettuce, you are starting to get there. Seriously, an additional 10 carbs from lettuce is over 20 ounces.

Ahh see, I suggested the lettuce because from my own experience, lettuce alone gets boring really fast...so eventually, one may add in some of the "other" lower carb veggies...like broccoli, peppers, etc. It's a start though for someone not used to eating greens all the time. baby steps.... :-) Caesar salad is my favorite BTW
