Hello there community! Well, I've been reading, watching yt videos, saw the wonderful success here and decided to begin LCHF eating lifestyle. Tomorrow, dh and I will hit the supermarket for the veggies, fats, and protein needed. I am so used to buying low fat everything, I have a fear that if I take full fat cheese and put it in my cart, lightening will strike me!!!! lol Oh and I need to see about supplements too. Oy! I fear getting started is gonna cost a few bucks. :D Please refresh my memory regarding the type of salt that is recommended.... And, am I correct that Splenda should not be used, but Stevia is okay. I printed out the Week 1 recommended Shopping List from ruled.me. Any suggestions for food choices or any thing you find helpful when first starting, please share with me. Much thanks!!

I'm just starting with the LCHF myself after really struggling with the idea. What I'm really enjoying is full fat dairy--milk, cheese, real cream, sour cream. Who knew these things are really good for you! I don't know about the salt thing, but I think a lot of people like the sea salt. I just use regular old Morton's or the store brand. I don't use much, but now that I'm eating eggs again I do salt them. I don't really think about adding it to anything else, but maybe I should. I've been living on processed, boxed foods for so long, now I'm cooking, something I never would have imagined. I expect I'll be exploring and adding or subtracting over the next while, and so far it's been fun.

Hi PhillySue....this is too funny. I just sent you a personal message before seeing this post and your post here answered some of my questions. I am salivating just thinking of being able to enjoy full fat real cheese! Full fat milk tastes like cream to me....now what will cream taste like! :D Happy to meet you and to take this journey with you too.
