I had my appointment with my specialist today. He ran some more blood work and said my thyroid function is fine but there is definitely something going wrong in my thyroid because of my symptoms and the fact that my T3 is producing ten percent less than my T4. He is going to have me take my temperature morning and night to hopefully see the abnormality there so he can order an ultrasound to look for abnormal growths there. So at least I've got something in the works

Did you see an endocrinologist? I hope so. My doctor gave me a T3 and a T4 supplement, which really helped!
|
He's not an endocrinologist but he does specialize in thyroid disorders. He's already decided what he will prescribe but he wants to find the root of the problem first instead of just giving me band aids. The medicine would be designed to up my T3 to a normal level, then depending on what further tests bring back, decide what to do with my thyroid
