Wow, so many accomplishments! Isn't it AWESOME to not be the last! :) Well done!
I am still slowly learning to run. Daughter has asked me to run with her, so we are rebooting the Couch2fiveK program. Hopefully I'll get further than 1.2K this time. :)
So how far did you run? How many participated? Tell me tell me! :)

I ran 5k in 33mins 52 secs... I finished 110th in 419 participants. I started with C25K! its an excellent program- take it slow, my back, legs, hips pretty much everything hurt, ached and complained at one point but push thru it! Its so worth it! Voltarin Emul Jel (sp?) is AMAZING stuff for sore muscles! Green Day ( American Idiot) is excellent running music in my view as well!

I almost cried at the finish line- and im not a crier! Was VERY surreal... at the 4.k marker I was really struggling keeping my pace, and just had to dig deep to keep moving, and I looked up and saw a beautiful rainbow over the Falls. I took a deep breath and broke thru it and I DID IT! The Marathon was along the river right at the brink of Horseshoe Falls. My race Started at Table Rock on the Canadian side. Beautiful scenery - and really I take it for granted, I see it every day but that rainbow really spoke to me. Crazy

Super job! Finishing in spite of the discomfort is what separates the winners from the "want-to-be's".
