I don't understand how I can walk 4 miles up and down hills and sweat like crazy and not lose a lb. I've done this torture once a week so far and am aiming at upping my excersizing.

Exercising once a week probably isn't enough. You should do it at LEAST 3-4 times a week. If 4 miles is a lot for you, then cut it down but do it more often. Also, watch how high you're getting your heart rate. If you get it too high, you won't be burning fat... only sugar. Keep up the awesome effort!! :)
