I'm so hungry right now.....
I'm new to this diet and I've been drinking water and staying away from carbs as expected. I'm wondering if my body is adjusting well. I've taken a multi vitamin to limit my weird body sensations. It did help but man I'm I hungry!!!

Hope this nudge in my tummy goes away soon cause man!!!
Diet is working pretty well though.

I had a quick look at your diet journal. You are not eating near enough veggies. Your net carbs are way over what they should be for induction. You should be at 20nc, not 29nc Also eating way too much cheese. You should have no more than 3 oz of cheese max a day. Remember you are suppose to have 20nc a day, with 12 to 15% of those carbs coming from veggies. Do you have the book? If not you should get it and then also join Atkins.com. Loaded with help, recipes and oodles of advise and suggestions. Hang in there, get your veggies and the hungry will go away :) The key words in your journal, "staying away from carbs" that is not correct, we need carbs, and the Atkins diet insists that you eat carbs, not stay away from them Good luck to you :)

Do you have the 2002 (or later) Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution Book? If not, I'd suggest that you get it and/or go to www.atkins.com and do the lessons on the site. I'm thinking by your diet today that you don't have a grounding in the foundation of this nutritional plan. As Carbcount said, you are severely lacking veggies. the veggies, and the fiber that comes iwth it are essential. It is NOT a high-protein diet. It is a low-carb/high fat diet. Slight correction to Carbcount's post, it is 12-15 NET carbs, not percentage. Also, you are limited to 1/4 cup cheese all day. (4 ounces). Once you start getting enough veggies, but keep the fat high, you should no longer be hungry.

you should be getting 12-15 net carbs from veggies. That means that ONLY 5-8 can come from other sources, including cheese and salad dressing.

I'm getting plenty of veggies. I eat turnip and mustard greens for lunch everyday, I have a small salad as a snack at work. I'm just not recording every ounce of my diet on here. I record what I can and when I can But I have the whole atkins kit and I know what I'm suppose to have and not suppose to have. I am aware I'm suppose to have some carbs but not many. I'm still losing at 29nc and that gives insight on where my maintenance nc level will be.
