It has been 2 days since I started my diet and exercise routine and so far I had lost 4 pounds! I am amazed! I really hope that the pounds continue to drop at a rate of 2 pounds per day because it would mean I would reach my goal weight in no time. However my mom said that most likely this is just water weight. But I will take any kind of weight loss as long as it stays off!. So excited to see the numbers starting to drop and really hope I will reach my goal in 2 months!

Can I ask what kind of exercise you are doing? I am planning on starting my diet next Monday. I really don't like to exercise because I get bored with so easily.

I'm also finding the pounds just flying off. But don't want to get to excited- apparently the rate of loss slows down after a while. Meh.

2 lbs a week is a gtreat, steady loss. If it slows dont be discouraged...you are getting healthier, you will live longer and more happily. RAPID WEIGHT LOSS and programs touting it almost always result in higher gains in the end. Slow and steady is the way. GOOD JOB!

Initial weight loss is mostly water and it usually slows down to a pound or two a week. It depends on how much you have to lose. People who have a lot to lose will usually lose faster. Just stay on plan and you will be at goal before you know it.

Yes it will slow down, but it is a great kickstart to your weightloss program. Just take it one day at a time and look at this as a long term goal and not a quick fix. We want the weight to stay off, so learning to eat healthy, and incorporate exercise into our day is the key. Best of luck. Lynda

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. When I wake up in the morning I usually hop on my treadmill for 30min on weight loss program. Then I have breakfast which includes 1/4 cup of white eggs with a tomato and half an onion. this is usually around 9:30. Then I pack myself a snack and lunch for school which include a turkey sandwich and 3oz of baby carrots. I eat the baby carrots at 11:30 and then at 2:30 I have my lunch. At 5:30 I have another small snack, usually an apple followed by an hour workout on my treadmill again. I then do some leg exercises that aim to tone my thighs, which I find on YouTube. At 8:00 or 8:30 I have my dinner which is a 400 calorie or less meal which I find online and different sites. At 11:00 I go for a 45 minutes walk with my dog and I try to go to sleep at 12:00. So far it is working but I am going to start replacing my hour treadmill walk with an hour of Power-90 workout routine which I heard is really good at both weight loss and muscle toning. Anyway week 1 I lost 5.4 ppounds....let see what the second week will bring.
