Today was a good day, emotionally - really good. Spent time w/ some loved ones from the church. My friend's family is doing well. Brought over some food... hung out w/ the kids awhile... visited w/ the grandparents, etc. Then went to another friend's house and hung out w/ our pastor and his wife (who is my dearest friend!!!) and totally enjoyed 'remember when'... thank God for memories!
HOWEVER - had the worst day Food Wise...in the sense that I did not follow my new plan very accurately.
Oh, all of my foods were certainly acceptable... but not nearly enough of them.
My calories are low today. Grabbed two eggs this morning and was off and running. By the time lunch time came, it went w/ out me even thinking about it... and then while w/ my girlfriend I had 4-5 strawberries, a cup of tea... and zero hunger. She made me eat a few bites of chicken w/ some onion and chopped tomatoes, sprinkled w/ some fresh parmesian cheese... it was good, but I only ate a little.
By the time I got home and sat down to dinner, I wanted to be sure to eat a good salad - which I did... then two medium size steak tips...which I didn't weigh before so I am guessing at the oz.'s... and I was full.
Gee, when I write it out...seems like it should be more...but didn't even break 1000 calories. (actually not even really close to that!)
Tried to keep up w/ my water, but don't think I quite made it... Didn't exercise today... Maybe I should take this week as it comes.
Wake is tomorrow...Funeral is Wednesday...Maybe I should fully start on Thursday. I am sure none of these next few days will fully hit the mark...but that's ok. They will at least be low carb, and maintain me through til then.
