Soup makes a good breakfast if you're a bit tired of eggs and such. It seems weird but actually it's a good way to rehydrate in the morning, too.

That bowl looks mighty tasty!

Interesting article... I love soup, but don't make it very often. I wish there were more gluten-free store bought options!

Jessberry, did you see the link to the new Soup company? Pg 2 I think. Wow! I learned a new word too. Imbibbing We on FS are imbibing too much food!

I loooooove soup. Which is good, because I can't make small portions. It always winds up being like 10 servings! Pro-tip: store leftover soup in single serving baggies and lay flat to freeze, then you can stack them in your freezer. No need for store-bought ever again!

That's a great idea, Notelaine! Thanks!

Becoming a good soup chef is a talent and skill in it's own right, endless varieties, and range from simple to complex, I expect to be hearing and reading more about souping in the near future!

The new trend here now is pet pigs. Walking them like dogs on a leash. You know they are very smart animals. If you ever saw what happens in Farmer John you would be a Vegan for life.

Notelaine, you're a woman after my own heart! I love freezing things that way. I also save small yogurt cups and freeze things in big "ice cubes" - excess stock, leftover veggies, etc. When I make soup - or almost anything it's handy to be able to just grab a cube.

Warren - if you haven't already seen it, do a search for "Chase commercial with pet pig" It's been on here a lot and cracks me up! Kinda makes me want a pig!

Omg, I love the idea for the big ice cubes!! That would be so much more convenient than the smaller cubes for some things!

;-) I'll often open a container of stock just to freeze in 4oz cubes. It's so frustrating at times to want just a little bit for cooking and NOT wanna open a whole damn box/can just for a few oz!

Warren, I didn't notice the link to the company, but I'll look it up now. @Notelaine & Vickie, those are great ideas! When I do make soup, I never think to freeze it, but freezing single servings would be so helpful! And it doesn't take as long to thaw as a huge container :)
