jessberry's Journal, 13 April 2016

Well, tonight was monumental... I made brownies for my husband and kids (none of which are overweight, and don't realize the struggle of making brownies and not being able to eat them) and I DIDNT LICK THE BOWL! Yep, you heard right... NO bowl licking! Never, ever, in my life, have I made brownies and NOT licked the bowl... It was hard. I wanted to. The chocolatey goodness was screaming out to me, begging me to just try a little... But I stood firm! And then I rewarded myself with my delightful Russell Stover's sugar free pecan caramels :)

OMG you are amazing! - not sure if I could do it! My daughter is banned from making her famous chic chip cookies because all want to do is eat the cookie dough! My reward is a sugar free salted caramel hot drink!

I could pass on the bowl......but the spoon? ...a different story! You did well. You are strong!!!

The spoon was difficult to pass up, too! As soon as I poured the batter into the baking dish, I immediately washed the spoon and bowl, lol! I was happy (and a little sad) to see my temptation going down the drain :)

Yes, the day before my diet my husband asked me to make a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies. I got rid of them the next day.

@suzy- Oddly enough, my kids rarely want to lick the bowl... I always tell them they're weird, lol! What's wrong with them, that's the best part?!

Having such forbidden treats in the house is one thing, but baking them and having to endure the delicious aroma is another thing altogether. YOU ARE POWERFUL AND STRONG!

you are a much stronger person than I am. I'm afraid I would have given in to temptation....

And the ones I make.... It should be a sin to eat 'em cause they're so good! I've been calling them "Satan's brownies", lol!
