kristigarrett's Journal, 23 March 2016

Had a few days of bad decisions... Ate some foods and enjoyed some beers and am paying for it now. I know I have to stay diligent, but sometimes there is a little voice in my head that overrules my plan. My husband and I decided that one day a week (one 24 hour period) we can *splurge*. Although the portions have been smaller they contain more carbs.. Not a giant amount, just things that we tend to give up during the week. For the most part, it has been working well. However... We went 2 extra days too far.. I have to work harder this week, and stick to things that work.. I know this probably won't be the only time I fudge up, but a good learning experience... Onward and Upward, no? Have a blessed day everyone!

I understand that feeling - be aware that sometimes the one day splurge will undo your week of hard work. I opt for one spluge meal every once in the while...it is planned out and done about one time per month. Good Luck!

That is definitely something I will be watching for. I still try to fast then only do the one meal (splurge) but this past weekend I went off the rails, lol. Getting my head back in focus is my main priority. Keeping it there will be my mission! Baby steps, lol. J/K. Thanks for the tip

Been there and done that, and the problem I have with going way off track is, it usually takes some time to adjust and get back on track. Very easy to quickly undo a week of hard work as HCB said. A learning experience for sure, plus we can't be perfect all the time. As you said, moving onward with things is the direction to go, wishing you lots of success.
