debrafrederick's Journal, 07 March 2016

I broke my fast this evening, will fast again tomorrow as Tuesday and Friday were my usual fasting days. I was hungry and made a big 46g serving of steamed broccoli and topped it with a cream sauce made from canned chicken, heavy cream, butter and some alfredo sauce, with a sliced tomato on the side. It was good and my tummy is comfortably full. I am not currently having any cravings. My dinner satisfied me completely. It's an hour and a half later and I'm not having that post carb drowsy effect. It's nice.

You think you know how to eat, you think you have it down pat, that you can skip logging your food and weighing your portions and you do it correctly at first, then a quarter cup becomes one cup, the tablespoons are heaping.....the next thing you know you are right back in your old habits. Silly of me to think years of bad habits can be permanently replaced with good ones after just 6 months. That is how long I faithfully logged here on FS before going off on my own. Thirteen months later here I am relearning the good habits.
