This week sucks.
-I got a dentist bill, which when I went to have the work done, they told me $125 up front was all I had to pay. Now I get a bill for another $159.
-We FINALLY got a water bill at our apartment. I called several times and went to the apartment office several times about this issue to AVOID something like this, but nothing ever got fixed. Now I have to pay $112 for 6 months of water all at once.
-Yesterday, I left work early to spend a fun afternoon w/ Mark. Well, apparently something up above decided I wasn't deserving of a fun afternoon w/ my fiance, and decided to have a cop pull me over and give me a bogus ticket. He was hiding in a neighborhood street and said he clocked me going 40 in a 25 several blocks away. Hmm. HOW?! Super powers?! I KNOW I was only going 30.
This is what's wrong with America: The government has all these tools and stuff in place to "protect and serve" its people. Instead, The people that hold the positions in those departments meant to help us, abuse their positions and become corrupt. I know this ticket is bogus. I would like to contest it. However, I'm too afraid that I will lose, even though it's bullshit, and end up having to pay even MORE for it, under the guise of court fees and such. Frickin' A!

As NWA, Rage Against the Machine, Jay & Silent Bob, and too many others to count have said before me... f*** the police. Mostly because I was once ticketed by an obviously drunk state trooper that told me the speed limit was 64.

Dentists tend to do that more often now. Horrible. Ticket: did he say that he got a plane report on your speeding? That sucks.

Lol. Stupid pigs. I don't mind real cops all that much. Traffic cops suck though.

I don't know how it is where you live but, I ALWAYS go to court on the court date on the ticket. You speak with the DA, say you weren't going that fast and they plead it down to a lesser charge which means a much smaller amount to pay! I've had tickets reduced to non moving violations even. Try it, you've nothing to lose. It's not a long conversation, the DA asks you a couple of questions and you move on to the next cattle call.

By the way, I was pulled over for illegally turning (No turn on red). We had recently evacuated for a hurricane and I didn't have my papers (registration & insurance, we took the paperwork with us, left my car home). The fines would've been $400 if I had just paid them. I went to court and only paid $111.
