i'm finally in the 220s again, for the first time in almost a decade. i got my cosmetology license in 2015, and i was in this weight range when i did finish school. it's wild to think about. a decade, turned back in a way.

it's been almost a year since i really started focusing on my health and giving myself grace and allowing myself to not be so strict with my efforts, which is what prevented me from sticking to it in previous attempts. what i'm doing now is easy to stick to, it makes me feel good. i sleep better. i feel better on a daily basis. i never thought i could do this before, but now i know i can. it's just about what i can do in the next 24 hours, every day. the time will pass, i just needed to learn how to handle a small amount of it at a time.

so much to think about. looking forward to another year and hopefully another 80-ish pounds off.

I love your mindset and it will take you far. I owe a large part of my success to just taking it a day at a time. I love the mantra of one meal at a time, one day at a time. Also staying away from comparison of yourself to others will help. So many people waste time chasing unattainable goals. I've never chased the looks of another person. I'm just trying to be the best version of myself day to day. Each day that you put in the work your body will thank you. It also doesn't mean there won't be bad days. It just means we won't let one or a few bad days derail us completely. 1% better each day over time definitely adds up. Continued success to you moving forward.
