Good morning my friends! Off to lunch with friends today at the restaurant that has my favorite watermelon avocado salad. I just have to order it for the table every time I dine there, can't resist. Hope you all (or in deep south talk, "y'all") have a great day! 💚💜💛

Hahaha! I have a friend from the north who says "youse guys," I love the regional slang. My friend from Scotland says we don't speak English, but I'll bet the British would tell her she doesn't either.

Interesting 🤔🧐 I've never heard of such... snap a picture of it if won't look to weird in the restaurant... I would like to see it. It sounds pretty cool I love the summer watermelon 🍉 feta salad 🥗 the one with the red onion and balsamic vinaigrette 😋. Sounds kinda of the same idea 🤔💡. Watermelon, feta, red onion, and balsamic vinaigrette 😋 Some versions also put mini cucumbers chopped small or fresh cherry tomatoes 🍅 Locally they hand out the recipe on cards at the fresh market 😁 I'm sure it's not to increase sales of the fresh produce lol 😆. But it's really good and I had it at potlucks for years so I don't think it's a new thing they came up with to sell product just something they are taking advantage of.

The salad at the restaurant is about 2 cups watermelon & half an avocado cut into 1" cubes, a light sprinkling of grated feta cheese & of Tahin, maybe a little lime juice & salt. I don't think there's any oil. There are also little cubes of pickled watermelon rind mixed in, maybe 2 ounces. That's all I can identify.

Leah, that sounds delicious too. I would skip the tomatoes & cucumber & use avocado instead.
