Well, I am exercising consistently I guess. Not huge calorie burn but moving. Eathing is still a little high, hopefully everything will balance out by the end of the month. Today I thought maybe I should stop using almond milk and go for the dairy to see if that helps. Weight is not moving. It's disturbing me that I have not been able to cut calories to lose even half a pound.

I know how hard it is when the scale doesn't budge. I excel at getting it to go the other way! You seem to stay in the same calorie range as me and I lose around 1000-1200 calories. I maintain around 1400-1500 and above that the weight inches up. I hate when people say that I need more calories to lose. But I am 69, and pretty sedentary. I lost over 50 pounds in 2017/18 in that calorie range, doing IF. But I did walk almost every day and much farther than I walk now. I was trying to keep my protein higher than carbs and that really seemed to help. But my doctor didn't like high protein so I wasn't sure how to adjust unless it is to add more healthy fats . I'm sure you'll figure it out. You are way more active than me. Have you had your thyroid checked? A friend of mine has an under active thyroid controlled with medication and couldn't weight at all until she started seeing a nutritionist.

It is a struggle for sure losing weight as we age (73 almost 74) metabolism is slower and changing old habits are hard. In January when I started FS the first thing I did was take bread, crackers, chips high carb fruit and veggies out of my diet. No white no flour, rice, starchy veggies. I do not do Keto I just count my calories and cut my carbs down and exercise every day. I eat from 1100 to 1300 calories a day. Just fine tune your diet and you will see a difference quickly. I am diabetic so I do not fast because of sugar lows. I know you can do this I am here if you need a buddy to talk with.

When I use milk I use unsweetened almond milk. I prefer to eat like golfgirl for the same reason when I am on plan which is not enough.

Do you weigh/measure your food? I have found that helps me. Otherwise how do you know your calorie intake? Anything under 2000 is a deficit so I’d shoot for 1800-1900. Losing weight at 1800-1900 will take weeks but at least you’ll be FULL, especially if you stick with meat, fruit, veggies, eggs (dairy. Whole, fresh foods. No processed.

I've made small changes in addition to weighing and measuring everything. I use Sara Lee 45 7 Delightful bread, I can't Believe it's Not butter, the blue sugar. I prefer real sugar and real butter but just to lose. I search the grocery store for new lo-cal foods to try.
