Windy, We went because it was who was on venue while we were here in Nashville. Next week is Scotty Mcreary and later in month is Chris Young. Would've preferred them but we will be gone by then. Just being at the Opry and hearing about it's history and seeing how the performers react to The Circle ( which I didn't know about till this trip) was pretty cool.💜💜

I have a song in my music library by Billy Ray & Miley called Ready, Set, Don't Go. I always liked it. Vince is an icon in country music, but I'm always disappointed when they don't sing at least one of their better known songs. I've been to The Grand Ole Opry several times...always an experience!

Sherrye, I know the song you mentioned. I guess he is estranged from his daughter because of his relationship with a very young wife. He filed for divorce from her s now ex wife the same day she had a double mastectomy. A bit sketchy Is say ...His son Grayson was actually a surprise. His voice was much higher than Mylie's and Billy's.

Diana, happy you are enjoying your time in Nashville. It is a great city, and I enjoyed growing up in Nashville & living here most of my life. The Opry experience is one that should be had if a person is a fan of country music. Were the cloggers on the show ?? Two of my cousins were a part of the group for maybe 30 years, and were weekly / monthly performers. One is now deceased, and the other has since moved. Enjoy your trip.

I've always liked country music but don't follow the current music. I like Vince Gill and have one of his Christmas cds. Sounds like a great time

Fritzy, I like most genres of music. My husband is musical so being here has been fun. We have gone to listen to music more than a few times! The concert at the Opry was pretty neat. I learned so much about what it means to be inducted into the Opry. One of the opening acts was a girl named Peyton Porter. She is somebody to watch. I think she will be a star. She came out barefooted and said it was so she could feel all the energy from the past members that stood in the circle. She had a great voice kind of like Lainie Wilson..
