I'm jealous. we get out less than a thousand steps and kids r all " were tired where's my water can we go now." then hit the playground for the next 3 hours running non stop. 🤦

Fred-Sanford go online or make your own list of things they need to find along the hike as an outdoor scavenger hunt. could be a number of different leaves, a feather, a snake , turtle , bug etc ... the kids love it and are focused on finding stuff and any potential fake complaining stops

Very true, αδερφή! I I used to be terrible about not taking photos... I've gotten much better about it. 

Fred! Awe I'm sorry.! My oldest was like that. Constant complaining.. I've had to tell him "this is what I wanna do, when we are done, we can try what you want to do" that approach has helped him.

Otb! I like that idea! My youngest does that automatically; my purse was fill with twigs, rocks, and leaves. He wanted to bring a frog home and I had to draw a line 😂 

Juju-we did! The ending was a bit rough there lol everyone was wiped!  

Good for you for taking your kids out on a hiking adventure. Leading by example and making it fun is how to keep them enthused. Now, a small backpack, a water bottle, a magnifying glass they can look at bugs, and flowers, and rocks. TEACH them what to do if they ever get separated from you. 

Haha a few frogs in your purse never hurt anything 🤣🤣
