Windy Day's Journal, 31 May 2024

Good morning! Can't believe how cool it has been for the end of May, but hey, I'll take cool temps and sunshine any day! It's a beautuful morning. Scale has not budged, but that's ok. Im slimmer and stronger and mentally in a better place than Ive been in 8+ years. My husband had been sick and in and out of hospitals for a few years before he passed in 2018 and I really packed on the weight from stress/comfort eating during those years. Since joining FS Ive dropped 44 pounds and 4 pants sizes. Im regaining muscle tone and feeling good about myself again. Still striving towards the goal, but living happy as I go. Life is happening NOW, not at some future set point in time. Enjoy the way, the future is today. Happy Friday peepers! Live strong! xo

Dear sweet Morticia.. {{big HUGs}} I know you are. It's a hard place to be, not for the faint at heart. I know just from your posts how strong you are, but the price in mental anguish takes a toll. I'm keeping you held up in prayer that God gives you strength and courage and peace of mind that only He can give. I fall down more than you know, and it's a struggle, always will be I think, but God keeps us going. I'm here for you anytime my friend. Love you! ❤️🙏❤️

Windy Day— you are so right. It is important to find some enjoyment and laughter in each day. Tomorrow is not promised. We have to develop a balance of diligence and responsibility and shear silliness and fun. My best friend died suddenly yesterday after a freak fall on Monday that essentially severed her spinal cord. Enjoy today.

Thank you Jen, I've come a long way and getting fit (fitter)again has really helped, but believe me I still struggle to keep positive and motivated and enjoy each day for what it brings. It's just something I think we all have to mindfully work at on the daily. You're doing terrific, girl! 💯❤️

Kenna! I am so so sorry to hear this. How tragic. I can't imagine.. it's hard when we see it coming, and we gradually begin to accept that, hey this is coming... But such a sudden tragedy has got to be such a shock. My sincere condolences. I am sending prayers for you as you sort thru all this. I feel your loss. 🙏❤️💐

Thank you Windy Day. She was an amazing person. We met at our YMCA pool and have been best friends from day one. Nurse Practitioner, she was on the Stanford swim team in college and did synchronized swimming for Stanford. world traveler, hiker. Incredibly funny and SMART. She was a completely healthy 78 years old. Such a freak thing. I will miss her muchly. We were a group of 4 now a group of 3.
