Well I think I was able to rescue the weekend after the abrupt end to our camping trip. My son spent all day Sunday in bed recovering while I took my daugter to the park to play. Then we took her training wheels off her bike and practiced 2 wheel riding for the first time. We came home and she used my tools to fix the brakes on the gokart and I let her drive it for the first time. By monday morning my son was back to normal so we took them to a lake to teach them how to kayak followed by a picnic and a nice 2 mile hike that I needed to scout out before I take the cubscouts on next weekend. We may not have spent any nights in the tent but it was an action packed weekend filled with new outdoor experiences and lots of exercise.
