I want to clarify that my weight down to 481 was due to over medication by the heart doctor after a 7 day hospital stay for heart failure in March. Over a month they dried me out like a prune. I kept contacting the dr office but no one would call me back- I was feeling as bad as I did just differently before the hospitalization. One of the worst things was this taste of ammonia in my mouth and I was ignored and told it was covid.

Finally- in the dr office after lab work in April I was near tears because I felt like I was about to drop- no one listened to me when someone walked in with the lab work. My BUN was 112 and I don't know the other functions off the top of my head- but they had damaged my kidneys.

So from the dr office I was readmitted for 4 days of fun. I gained back 10 pounds almost immediately and then I think another 10 from over eating. But I've dropped almost 12 in the last week from charting and trying to stay around 1200 calories & 40 carbs a meal. Which I asked to have a nutritionist visit before my last discharge. They spoke with me, and said between 1k and 2k a day and the 40 carbs a meal- even tho my cardio's nurse wants less than 40 a day.

I'm having difficulty with the sodium- but ive already figured out that I have to give up the turkey sausage I had switched to from pork. But that's okay.

It looks like for now what I am doing is working well.

I can not wait to see what getting down to 465 feels like- I last weighed that in 2017. And then on to 400. I hope to be below 400 by the end of the year.
