Part 2 of my tale from earlier today!
So in the 30 days of the Whole30 I dropped from 195 to 180. That was this past August. And here I am again at 194. It gets harder each time! And yes, maintenance is my problem. Also sugar and carb addiction. But I do not want this to be my new normal. So I'm gonna do this again. I rejoined a gym last week, have a couple girls on a similar path to talk to, and I'll let ya know how it goes. No excuses!

So you've identified the problem...Sugar=Carbs=Glucose=Sugar. You cannot outrun a bad diet. If you're an addict, treat yourself like an addict, withdrawal takes 2-3 weeks, can be uncomfortable..i.e, flu like symptoms, chills, headaches, etc.. in the end you'll have normalized your blood sugar and regained control of what you're eating. Structure a low carb higher fat, moderate protein and plant based diet and you'll keep the weight off.

Always no excuses is the only way...it has to become a lifestyle and truth be told no amount of exercise will keep those pounds away. I had to learn the hard way...I trained for an Ironman for 9 months solid thinking that doing 17 hours of exercise a week would make me skinny....I was 15lbs heavier than I am now. The only thing that will change the weight on the scale is what goes in your mouth...trust me, I have been there too many times in the past. YOU GOT THIS!!

Use the support and draw from the wealth of experience that's available among this community -- I haven't hit maintenance mode yet, so I can't completely relate/empathize, but I have had my most significant and successful loss (out of I'd say 3-4 previous 'serious' attempts) since joining FS in mid-June.
