DwightSchrutesHazmatSuit's Journal, 29 March 2024

I am a reuser of plastic things that come into the house until they're unusable. So today family had Mexican. I ordered steak fajitas and asked for extra lettuce on the side and gave away the rice and beans. Made a salad w/ no dressing- 2 scoops of gaucamole, pico & hardly grilled veggies. This wasn't near as good as yesterday's food & not as much by half - so I had two means yesterday for the same price as one today. Know where I will go in the future. edit- I don't know why this won't upload images for this post but its been a bit & I'm tired of waiting so no image.

Next time ask your server you can normally substitute your rice and beans for other items such as vegetables or salad. I find most servers are super cool and accommodating if your nice and polite while explaining your needs.

No, actually I did ask and the server brought out the manager who said no at the first restaurant- Ted’s Escondido. So we went to Monterey Jacks & they said no problem.

Nice job reusing so much. I love Mexican food. It is a little high in carbs (even if you avoid the free chips lol), unless you make substitutions, and I don’t care to make substitutions, but I might make some “modified tacos” with beans, no rice, yes to the regular tortillas though still of course, with cayenne instead of sauce, and Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. And of course, veggies.
