sounds like you had a plateau and did a refeed, try going back to your other calorie range, see if the scale budges.

This is very common, and this actually happened to me. My suggestion would be to track your calories and make sure you’re burning more than you are consuming and introduce a lot of fruit into your diet if you haven’t already done so.

I agree with Dazey. It happens. Sometimes our bodies just stall. Try going back to your original woe.

Thank you travforr and Diana 1234!
These were very helpful! I will try my best to burn a lot more calories this week! I will give you guys an update this week. I’m 141 sadly when I was just 137 3 days ago but I’m gonna fight back to get back in the 130s and to my goals. Thank you for commenting!

I didn't eat enough either. I agree with track your calories, but break them up throughout your day. I eat 5 times a day to keep my metabolism going and I keep my calories between 1200 and 1500 a day. if I eat less often I gain or don't loose. but eating the right things frequently keeps your metabolism running. Good luck!!

Thank you stormie39! I will try that. I think I ate too much this week by accident and raised my calories too high and didn’t even notice. So I’m gonna go back to normal, 1200-1300 calories a day. Thank you all for your amazing tips and thoughts!

Some days it could be as simple
As holding extra water.

Water is possible and sometimes your body adjusts to a certain calorie level and what used to be low calorie intake becomes the norm. Personally, I think having a bit of a splurge once a week helps as much as a reduced intake all the time

I was told that too much exercise will cause you to gain weight. The reason being that too much causes stress and your body reacts negatively to that, indluding producing more cortisol. I also have to watch the salt. While it's not a fat gain, it can affect the scale if I have too many salty foods in one day even though I'm not over the recommended daily intake of sodium.

If you’ve been working out, (weights etc) it could be muscle weight. That’s a great thing! Be proud of your progress and keep watching the foods you eat and go for nutrition. Protein fuels muscle growth and will make you stronger and healthier. Don’t let the scale ruin your long term goals.

I suggest adding more vegetables and cutting starches. Focus on having one or two servings of veggies or fruit per meal and only one of the less complex carbs. Plateaus happen and that is ok, you are still going down little by little. Good luck to us both!

Whenever I've plateaued, I have done a 3-5 day fast. I lose 2-4 pounds of fat, feel energized and focused, and it resets my body's setpoint to continue losing. So far I've lost 60 lbs of fat and put on 5 llbs of muscle to net out at 55 lost so far. I only have 8.5 left ubtil I hit my target and I feel 25 years younger.

Thanks Pzowie!
Any tips on how I could possibly get rid of the water weight? That seems to be the main issue. Thank you for commenting!

Hey rongolz! I would fast for that long but I’m an older teenager so I read that I could only do about a 18-20 hour fast everyday. Thank you for your tips though! And thanks for your comments!!

Thank you abbadabba! I will certainly try that! It seems I’m not eating enough veggies so I’ll see if it makes any difference! Thank you for your support and good luck to you on your journey!

Hi sallyhansen! I have a low sodium diet cause I’m trying to lose facial fat, but I know I can’t target fat any let of my body but I heard sodium adds fat to my face. Thank you for the suggestion of maybe working out to much but my lifestyle is sitting at a desk 7 hours a day for school and then burning only 500 calories after that( not including daily burning and sleep burning) so I try to be a lot more active. Thank you for commenting!

You've already lost 10 lbs in 2 months, and are only 136lb now. As a teen your body is strying to gain weight as you are still growing. Take a break, you may be doing too much too fast.

Have a good attitude. Focus on habits instead of immediate loss, if you don’t have a critical reason to lose, and are struggling enough not to be able to lose and still think straight.
I doubt you would have a critical reason to lose weight at just 136 lbs, but I don’t know you, and people can have critical reasons even if they are smaller—that’s up to you and your doctor, not me. It’s just not as common for people who are smaller, to have a critical reason to lose weight.
If you do have a critical reason (I doubt you do, but I don’t know you), at least keep a positive attitude. Change can’t come from shame.
