I've decided to start eating more home cooked meals. I made baked chicken last night with green beans and smothered potatoes. It was so delicious. I had it for lunch again today (above picture) and plan on having it for dinner tonight at work. I'm joining the challenge to stay away from sweets for four weeks. I will need God on my side for that one.

The husband and I got into a tremendous fight today. I wanted to grab everything and stuff it into my mouth, but I realized that it wouldn't solve anything. I sat down with my sensible, but filling, lunch, and slowly savored the flavors. I think I will make some coffee now.

Good plan. Home cooking works for me on so many levels. 1. It keeps me out of the fast food joints. 2. It gives me control of the ingredients. 3. It gives me leftovers for lunches, again keeping me out of the fast food joints. 4. It makes me feel good about what I am eating as I cook healthy meals. To take it a step further I pre mak and freeze healthier breakfast sandwiches and always have salad stuff at work. Its empowering, and if you live to cook like I do, its fun and relaxing.
