He is adorable. You’ll need to find his motivation.

So cute. I saw on Katsolo's post about leash and answered it there. Cattle dogs/ heelers are leaders and really smart. They want to herd everyone. Does the puppy nip at ankles?

Diana no hes a really really smart boy and listens intently but its like he loses his marbles when he is on the leash. He also gets weirded out if the side of the leash touches his body. She got him (sort of her bf from Henderson actually brought him up last February with no warning tbh) so he is 15 months old. He is a cuddlebug for her all day but as soon as he comes to our house with my boys and me he loses his mind all over again like when hes walking. Myself i think he needs more exercise but she says when they are home he is all calm. When the weather gets warmer i said i would be willing to walk a 2nd time and come get him alone and work with him. He pulls too much to put him on the lead with my boys. He is too big to put on a split lead with my little guy and i just feel bad for my big sweet boy doing that to him. By big guy kind of just tolerates him but hes sort of like an old man watching the kids play (my little guy and my daughters boy). If that makes sense.

There is a ranch in Escondido where you can let your herding dog herd sheep. One of the coolest things ever. https://www.actionk9sports.com/ This is Dogumentary.tv great little channel. https://youtu.be/bzpvPMN7uCk?si=Pd1Z1TgAHA08G5_o

There is a place about 6 minutes from here that teaches and runs agility courses and i keep telling my baby she should enroll him. I think he would fly

Sydney freaks out too if the leash touches her...that's interesting. Joe just walked with her everyday walking her at the park. I highly recommend trainings ng. Remember, Sydney was already 6 when we got her and it was fear that made her not want to walk on leash. Your daughters little guy is a puppy. Lots of energy. Training classes would help. And I think that a 2nd walk like you mentioned would help.

Well the 2nd walk would be for me😂. My kiddo works from home 10 + hrs per day so he only gets potty breaks during the week with a walk every other day or so at night for her. He hates the leash and the harness tho. He was only 2 months old when she got him so it’s a conundrum. And in my family we use re-direction for corrections which requires a lot of patience, and treats.

lol my boys work for treats. They will give you anything for a treat. Their heart, their paw, a rollover an army crawl. My little guy will dance on his back feet. Her puppy will wind in between her legs while she is walking like a tango dance, he sits, shakes, lays down and i think he sneezes on command. He just doesnt want to walk easily with me. I keep telling him he could hang out with us more if he would walk easily. But he doesn’t believe me i guess😁. But he is so smart.

Oh my gosh adorable!!! I always had dogs, cats, horses, rabbits growing up and with the kids growing up. We have nothing now as my husband travels too much but someday I think I would like a dog again!
