Pterath's Journal, 23 November 2015

Nearly 6 weeks at being stagnant in my weight loss. I know I have added working out, but really!!!! PLEASE Not going into the holidays. My husband has hit the same weight as me and he started 25 lbs heavier than me and we started on this path at the same time. I am feeling frustrated esp with holiday parties and the goodies that will just appear in my house via friends/family thinking they are being nice and giving a gift. :(

That being said I spent 1.5 hrs at the gym today that is an extra 30 mins and I am considering doing my biggest losers video as well today because of this stall. Not sure It would make any difference and I know the whole muscle-fat thing... and yes it feels like a thing right now.

Grumbles my way away from the computer and into the kitchen. Have to figure out dinner......

THINGS I NEEDS REMEMBER!

I wonder if maybe shaking things up a bit...drop the dairy, up the fat a bit, drop the carbs. I've had pretty good luck with keeping carbs very low for most days then a little higher one day (not crazy or anything, just higher than usual). Have avoided a plateau so far (knock on wood)! As for husband, well good for him! They make me feel like screaming sometimes!!! My husband, who doesn't even need to lose weight lost 10 pounds cuz he cut a couple of Monster energy drinks out one week! Are you kidding me, REALLY?

Make sure you are taking in 64+ fluid oz. of water each day. I was on a plateau for 3.5 weeks recently, then started increasing my water intake, and boom! Weight is going downhill again. I guess there is something to be said for it. Hang in there over the holidays -- and enjoy yourself!!!

I did some reading on the internet a couple of months ago because Denise was stuck, and I was hoping to find something useful. It seems like this just does happen, and may last for a few weeks or months. Then, apparently, you will eventually start losing again. Just stick with it. Working out probably will help in the long run, because muscle burns calories. And check your inches. It may be that your body composition is changing, even though your weight isn't.

Great quote, your body will adjust soon and the weight will start coming off. Just keep on keeping on. You got this!

My hubby can drop weight fast when he's trying, they're just built different and I think that it can be harder for women to drop like men. That being said, once my hubby stops trying he puts the weight right back on, and that's the difference between he and I is that I'm always trying. :) You're working hard, the results will come.

OMG I cannot imagine my life without dairy.... I mean low carb is hard enough to take one of my staples away. I mean I have tried soy milk and almond milk but they stink in coffee. And the non dairy stuff largely has too many carbs and lacks good flavor not to mention it is flammable can that possibly be good for you? I think I need to tighten the reigns on the carbs i have been floating around 40-50 as i thought it was time for an increase and to get off induction phase but i need to tighten back down to 30 and see where that leads. I have had med changes and the work outs, end of the reno and hard core 10 hrs a day heavy labor so i know it is the adjustments in such a short period. And may I be blessed that I do not gain over the next 4-6 weeks I guess maintaining is at least one good part. Hubby keeps buying the yogurt and I have been eating it because i need room in the fridge this week (he does not get major meal planning and fridge space planning) :P I know I am just feeling frustration. Need to find the change that triggers loss the best and in the past that has been carbs - they are the devil laced with deliciousness.

I love vanilla unsweetened almond milk - I got used to it pretty quickly in my Bulletproof Coffee...now, I like it better than milk. Hang with it Kelly - don"t get discouraged with the stall. Just try to maintain through the holidays.

Men lose weight faster then women because they have more muscles and are taller, don't compete with your husband. You can exercise all you want, if you are not eating healthy you will retain water and could gain fat depending on how many food you ate, you just can't exercise everything off. I hope you have a great week.

I know what you mean, everything goes in spurts. Have you ever though about freezing some of goodies or just throwing them away? They won't know. Anyway you are doing great? Or exercising more and consuming less. Hang in there as snezica is right men lose and maintain differently than us woman. ;)

my husband is 3 inches taller than me that is not a crazy difference. It is actually inborn that women do not lose the same as men we are designed to hold fat... why because we are engineered to protect and keep warm the babies that we will grow inside of us. Consider it Airbags aka fat bags for babies. But still..... I find myself frustrated. Knowledge does no change that. Frustration grows beyond all logic.

I really cannot stand almond milk sweetened or not and soy is 10x worse. to each their own I will cope and make other changes.

Hang with it, it is tough. I know that frustration. I stall for long periods of time and then I just want to let loose.
