Good read. I agree that eating too little can cause a stall as your body adjusts to the lower calorie level and reduces BMR to compensate. Then increasing calories too fast can cause weight gain as the extra calories get stored. It's a balancing act where you need to set up a reasonable deficit and lose the weight at the rate of 1-2 lbs /week. I also don't believe there is a "starvation mode" as the body begins to compensate as needed based on the deficit. It's the same whether you have a deficit of 500 cals/day or 1500 cals/day. The difference is the magnitude of the compensation.

You're welcome, Spiritspell. Hope you have a great day also! @CatHerder, I agree completely with the first part of your reply. As for the second part, you don't believe in starvation mode? Starvation mode occurs when your body "feeds" on muscle and other bodily tissues and organs, instead of (or along with) body fat. That's why muscle loss occurs some people don't feed the body properly, and they end up with the "skinny fat" look. It also causes metabolic problems.
