An easy graphic of a 2021 peer-reviewed scientific paper on the foods that were proven: to lower cholesterol (green), to raise cholesterol (red) and neutral (yellow). I had no idea about unfiltered coffee being bad and avocado being so good.

Then add in that caffeine can and does raise cholesterol. It’s a double whammy.

I don't have the tech skills to try to repost the graphic itself in a way that it won't be mutilated by cropping here. But you can see it here as the first graphic in this article--worth reading: https://www.nmcd-journal.com/article/S0939-4753(21)00002-8/fulltext

Honeebuns, thanks! I was going to switch from regular milk to soy milk in my coffee, now I'm thinking of going back to tea in the morning as I used to many years ago.

I prefer tea.

Make it small and square. People can zoom in.

Oreos work too 🤣 Seriously, go watch Nick Norwitz Oreos Vs Statins on YouTube. Ground breaking study in the lipid model released in January. Quite interesting.

Thanks, Jenjabba, I already did a few days ago. Fascinating stuff, maybe there will be more on this lipid theory, but not sure how it applies to me (at least for now) since I’m not a lean hyperresponder on keto.

Agnes, the whole lipid model at the end was explained and applies to everyone. But not sure how it will all be exposed. Good deal.
