fast days are the pits . Hanging in there. I'm not hungry. I just FEEL like eating.

I know that feeling so well. The stomach is not hungry but the brain tells you it is. So weird. Hang in there!!

Drink water, green tea, coffee. It will make u feel full. Your mindset will change very quickly so just give yourself time to get used to fast days. I'm fasting today as well. We are few hours and a sleep away from our next meal :D

and tomorrow is another fast day! Here we go Wednesday. I'm also not drinking coffee on week days. Headaches are SO real - then again I was drinking up to 5/6 black coffee's straight :(

Ah so we are fasting buddies! Mon, Wed and Fri. lol. I do Nescafe Classic with 15ml full cream milk and no sugar/sweetener. Nescafe Classic is 0 calories. I found that other coffees are blended with dextrose and other things. I got into the habit of reading labels. Make sure u drink enough water. I drink a big cup of water before going to bed and first thing soon as I start my day and during the day. Do you have sugar in your coffee ? That could be a headache caused by sugar cravings.

Big Boy Optimus - im having jacobs croning, same theory applies... i was HORRIFIED to see what these other coffee's have in them like ricoffee and frisco and such! I find because i am not used to such STRONG coffee (even though i bought the mild) if i have more than 1 a day i have a MEAN headache. good luck with the fasting thing.. doesnt work for me tho....

@Big Boy Optimus - I told you I was copying you!!!!! I'm very haphazard so following you is way easier :)Plus I like knowing that is another human being can have the will power then I surely am capable too haha :)and nope- no sugar, just black. But I'm quite fond of green tea so the substitute is okay (Green tea does have some caffeine in it)- its amazing how my headaches are gone ( Since I loathe to take any form of medication - even baby panados)

@Tanya49 I share your horror as we always bought frisco and ricoffy for years and only this year did I actually read the label and see that it's blended with other ingredients. Fasting can work for you but you must start with 500 calorie fast days. The trick to it is to google and make a list of all low calorie foods then plan your meals with quantities of such foods to make up good sized meal. A chicken salad with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, steamed chicken, nando's sauce and Trim can be a whole bowl of food so u fill yourself up quiet alot altho its only 500 calories in total for the day. There's no one-way to do it. Feel free to discuss what doesn't work for you and we can give you tips on how to make it work :) @HafPaf becareful with the green tea. Apparently too much of it is bad for you. Try making your Tuesdays & Thursdays as a low-carb non-fast day with carbs kept to under 50g. I've had good success by doing this only on Tuesdays so I indulge a bit on Thursdays but when the need arises and I want to improve my results I will keep both those days as low carb. There's so much of flexibility!

HafPaf you got this. Just tell yourself that you can eat but not now and u waiting for tomorrow. If all else fails switch to a 500 calorie or less fast day so that you can have a meal and still stay in a fasting state. Just don't make it 500 calories of junkfoods. It gets easier with time :) I even gym on my fast days and to make it really challenging I also gym on the morning of my non-fast day and break my fast only after that gym session which is about midday. Everyone will be different. I have lots of bodyfat to use up so I'm able to do such things. Keep yourself busy and drink water, time will pass and u wont feel as hungry :)

What's in frisco coffee? ?? I don't know!!! #coffeeaddict I went from 3 sugars in my coffee and about 15 cups a day. Now I'm down to no sugar or maybe one but also not alot of coffee.. but I just bought frisco#endofthemonth

@Inks86 I found that Ricoffy apart from Chicory and roasted coffee beans contains Dextrose which is a form of glucose, Maltose which is malt sugar and Dextrins which are a group of low-molecular-weight carbohydrates produced by the hydrolysis of starch or glycogen. Not sure abour Frisco's ingredients. Nescafe Classic is 0 calories without the milk or sugar added to it.

Made it through Wednesday Fast Daay! I woke up and went for a nice,chilled 4.8km run :) :) :)
