It's raining. It rained yesterday too, so now this is 2 days I shan't be able to do my mile walk. Which sucks, because I am participating in a 6 week challenge, walking a mile a day!
Anyways, since I couldn't walk yesterday, I did some calisthenics. I did 20 glute activation raises (among other things), and my backside is feeling it today! It's that good kind of soreness. Not sure what I shall do today, as I am only supposed to do the routine 3 times a week, resting at least a day in between..
I've only been walking a week, and I am seriously bummed that I can't go right now!

Way to go! I've been doing poorly working long hours and with the weather being lousy. I better kick myself in the ass and get going. Got to lose 12 lbs.

Oh I get so bummed when theres no sunlight also and winter is the hardest time for me with exercise (I think I suffer from S.A.D). I like to listen to my ipod and dance in the basement for about half an hour or so. It cheers me up by releasing all kinds of feel good chemicals and it burns a lot calories.

Try some "Walk Away The Pounds" work out dvds with Leslie Sansone. They are great for when you can't get outside. They might even be on youtube or you could get them on amazon used pretty cheap.

Well, it is storming.. but I am a stay at home mom, so when I walk I push my kiddos in a stroller, and I don't want them to get all wet. We're going to the store in a bit, so I'll get some walking in.. if it's raining tomorrow, I plan to do the routine I did yesterday. Thanks for everyone's advice!

Do you have stairs either in your residence or covered stairs nearby? That's something I sometimes do when weather prevents outdoor exercise (in addition to videos) -- either up/down the whole flight several times or single 'step-ups' using only the first stair.
