Cooked a whole chicken in the crockpot all day. Now I have plenty of chicken for food prep AND homemade bone broth! Next week’s lunches for several days will be 5oz chicken breast, 97g russet pot, 50g red🫘, 21g blue 💙🤍chz crumbles.

Yummy! I am cooking an extra turkey we have and will have it for dinner ,then divide it for future meals and will cook the carcus and gizzards to make bone broth. Can't wait!

I usually cook my chicken for seven hours and my broth does not even resemble that broth.i usually cook my chicken for seven hours and my broth does not even resemble that broth. Yours is nice and thick. is there anything that you do ,that makes it that consistency👏👏👏❤️

@OceanGirl…I just cooked it in the crockpot, I believe it was 7 hours. I put a little Sam’s Choice chicken bone broth in there for my liquid. I added 3 cloves of garlic & pink Himalayan salt. So, I’m not sure why mine is so thick looking. Mine was a Tyson whole bird. It’s freezing 🥶 and raining ☔️ the past couple days here in Arkansas, SO…I’ve been making Mexican Soup 🍜 with the bone broth, chicken, some Tostitos con queso & salsa verde. There’s no comparison between homemade bone broth & store bought! The soup is rich and full of flavor! 🤤
