6th outing, 3 hrs 13 min, 7 miles brings me up to 35 for the season so far. Snow was great today. Seeing some baby cornices developing along the ridge, which is where I was in this pic. I'm getting better at making telemark turns

Thanks, liv! A rare action shot that actually turned out. I'm still wearing the cargo shorts belted over the too-big ski pants because I haven't gotten around to buying new ones yet 🤣🤣🤣

YOH -- Google Fit thinks I burned just under 1200, but I dunno. Sometimes people think I lost weight by skiing, when the truth is, I lost weight FOR skiing. It's a lot easier to climb when I'm lighter

Thanks, Katsolo, Fritzy, and Myan 😊 It does indeed feel good to get outside. I live for this stuff!

Writing-i hear you. I keep hearing ive lost to much weight and maybe i have but i feel better moving at this weight. Easier to go up the stairs by a mile!!! Have not tried to ski at this weigh nor with this new hip this year and due to tummy tuck in July will probably wait till 2024 season to try (and post vertigo little adventure ent doc said would be too dangerous this year in case i fell off the lift with an episode) but thats neither here nor there. Im looking forward to skiing at this lighter weight next season!!!! More mobility i would suspect.

Love this!!! Cardio should be fun, always 🎉. As I'm into the opposite, today I went swimming 🏊🏻‍♀️ (fewer layers). 😁

TJV and losingtowin -- thanks! Although I don't really consider myself to be that good a skier. I'm definitely slow. I'm an ex ski bum, so I know people who are much gnarlier than I am

Thanks, ddrudd! I do so love snowy landscapes 😊

I'm a terrible swimmer, JB, but I do enjoy that as well. There's a parallel in the two activities in terms of the joy of technique. Part of what's making skiing so enjoyable this year is my technique has come along to where the movement is natural and efficient. When I see people who are good swimmers, I think the feeling must be similar
